Outdoor Fitness

During the pause on indoor low intensity fitness classes, we are offering the programs described below in an outdoor setting. Programs will be in a small gravel parking lot at the side of the Mill Bay Community Hall. Registration is on a per class basis and can be completed via our online portal or by phoning 250.743.5922. Registration opens 3 days in advance of each class and will close 30 minutes before the class starts. Prior to attending your program, please review the safety plan and applicable program guidelines on our COVID-19 & Recreation page

Things to note about outdoor fitness programming:

  • Participants should be comfortable on a slightly uneven surface (gravel parking lot).
  • Participants may experience ambient traffic noise, dust or disruptions.
  • Weather conditions may change quickly and we'll do our best to adjust.
  • Participants should consider dressing in layers in preparation for spring conditions.
  • The benefits of outdoor experiences are well documented, so come out and give it a try!

Weather Status

The weather status of the program (open air, covered, cancelled) will be updated by 9:30 a.m. each day that's listed below (to the best of our ability based on the predictability of the weather).

Participants must check this page or call Kerry Park Recreation Centre at 250.743.5922 for weather status updates as rec centre staff won't be phoning participants with status updates.
