Blue Recyclables Tote

The Cowichan Valley Regional District (CVRD) participates in the Recycle BC program, which ensures that recyclables are collected and recycled responsibly. 

Residents can use their blue tote every two weeks to dispose of household packaging and paper products according to their curbside collection schedule. Visit the Curbside Collection Overview page to see the guidelines for successful collection.

Accepted Materials

  1. Cut and flatten cardboard to fit loosely in your tote. To ensure successful collection, pieces should not exceed 30" x  30" (76.2 cm x 76.2 cm)
  2. Shredded paper must be placed in a paper bag or box.
  3. Glass bottles and jars can be recycled only when placed in the yellow collection bin. Visit the glass collection page for more information.
