Cowichan Lake Sports Arena

​Despite being warmer than the rest of Canada most of the winter, Cowichan takes its indoor ice activities seriously. The region's arenas host regularly scheduled hockey games and tournaments, and training and evaluation camps take place year round.

Amenities at the Cowichan Lake Sports Arena, built in 2011, include a fully accessible 200-foot by 85-foot hockey arena and four-sheet curling rink. There are eight dressing rooms, a sound system and a 30 second clock, seating for 700, and standing room for 300. The facility is licensed with catering capability. 150 parking spaces are onsite. 

Kerry Park Arena

 Kerry Park Recreation Centre in Mill Bay offers a regulation size ice arena, (with floor markings to Canadian Lacrosse Association regulations), a four-sheet curling rink, and meeting spaces. Spectator capacity is 750. The arena is home to BC Hockey’s Junior B Kerry Park Islanders, and is located in the Kerry Park sports complex which also features three ball fields and a multi-purpose field.

Cowichan Community Centre Arena

Affectionately known as 'The Stick' because of the world's largest hockey stick and puck that adorn the outside of the complex, the Cowichan Community Centre in Duncan offers a regulation size ice arena. There are also multiple meetings rooms, and fitness studios. The facility has 1,400 permanent seats (including suites) and 1,000 portable seats. The arena is home to the Cowichan Valley Capitals Junior A Hockey Club.

Fuller Lake Arena

The Fuller Lake arena in Chemainus is set amid beautiful parkland and trails and provides a 200ft x 85ft ice surface, six dressing rooms, concession, and two meeting rooms. There are floor markings to Canadian Lacrosse Association regulations. Spectator capacity is 600 sitting, 300 standing and there are 300 parking spaces.

Shawnigan Lake International School

Shawnigan lake School Arena


Located in Shawnigan Lake in South Cowichan, this new, full sized, state of the art arena has bleachers with a capacity of 400, a large, multifunctional lobby area, enclosed, private viewing area, dressing rooms, showering facilities and athlete’s medical area. The Canucks run their their Prospects Camp here during the summer. Room and board options are available at different times of the year.
