Yellow Point Park is a provincial crown lot that is managed as a local community park in Electoral Area H by the CVRD under a long term lease with the Province of BC. As part of the process to renew the lease at this time, a management plan for the park is being developed to support the application. The park management plan is intended to affirm the community’s recreational and environmental values for Yellow Point Park, and identify outdoor recreational and conservation priorities to guide management and use of the park into the future.
The engagement phase is now complete. With the input received, a Park Management Plan is being drafted for board approval and subsequent lease renewal.
Yellow Point Park is located in North Oyster in the Yellow Point area. The park offers loop trails and a connection to Barney Road. The trail is moderate in difficulty and is approximately 4 kilometres in length. The Yellowpoint Ecological Reserve to the North is not open to the public
