Statements of Financial Information

NOTICE TO READER:
The Statements of Financial Information or Public Bodies Report is a regulatory requirement for all British Columbian Regional Districts and Municipalities with the schedules required under the Financial Information Act.

Director Remuneration is the gross salary. Prior to 2019 one third of the gross salary was a tax free expense allowance.

Employee remuneration may include retroactive pay increase, vacation payouts as well as taxable allowances and benefits such as vehicle allowances, employer paid life insurance and provincial medical services premiums. This figure is not the employee’s salary, nor their take home pay.

Director /Employee expenses include costs such as: mileage to meetings, event registration fees and professional accreditation. The Financial Information Act specifically states that expenses “... are not limited to expenses that are general perceived as prerequisites or bestowing personal benefit, and may include expenditures required for employees to perform their job functions.”
